Welcome!  Seeking counseling for yourself is a big deal and I honor your bravery in doing so. The people I work with come to me for a wide variety of reasons. You could be pregnant or a postpartum mother, adjusting to changes in relationships and your identity. You could be struggling with anxiety, depression, self-criticism, or perfectionism, and have a sense that you could be thriving more deeply. Or, maybe you’ve lived through a recent traumatic event (which we all have during the COVID19 pandemic!), or have noticed that past events from long ago seem to be impacting your life today. Any of these (and many more) are wonderful reasons to start therapy.
